“He knows how to deal with it,” Alex Corretja reckons an “explosive” Nick Kyrgios impending US Open

A much controversial Nick Kyrgios has already asserted his dominance reign at Wimbledon earlier this year. Alex Corretja, discussing the US Open 2022 whilst being a Eurosport expert, predicts to expect a shit-hot performance from the Australian.
Upon warranting the Aussie’s staging at the Flushing Meadows championship, the expert chiefly highlighted, “for the US Open, you need to think about Kyrgios, of course. He knows already that he can play long matches. He knows how to deal with situations.” Furthermore, he projected to expect an “explosive” and “dangerous” Kyrgios at the tournament.

Delivering his statement when asked about Nick Kyrgios and what to expect from him at the upcoming New York championship, Alex Corretja replied “he’s got experience from the summertime, where he’s been playing very, very well. Of course, I think he ran a little bit out of gas at the last tournament, but he had time to recover and he’s going to be at the US Open super well.” He also stated that “Nick suits perfectly to that ambiance and to that crowd. So I think he could be easily one of the home crowd favorites”
The Spanish man is under the distinct notion that this year’s season will wrap up auspiciously for the Australian star as he quoted “I think Nick is going to be very dangerous to play against. I said already that before, at Wimbledon, and I’m lucky enough that he reached the final, not lucky but lucky that I said that.” Taking into consideration Kyrgios’s spectacular form this season, both on grass and hard courts, it is hard to counter Alex’s prediction for the Australian.
Wrapping up this year’s Wimbledon by finishing as the runner-up against Novak Djokovic with a score of 4-3, 6-3, 6-4, 7-6(3) the 27-year-old champ has likely moved past his ‘dark phases’ and proved himself to be quite formidable, not to mention he also won the Citi Open earlier this month. Alex while pondering further into being questioned about his upcoming performance concluded by saying “the crowd in New York will love him. I mean, for sure, because he’s the perfect type of player to play in New York. And New York is the show. New York is all about everything.”
