“Nick Kyrgios about to become TV’s biggest villain,” – Fans go into a frenzy as Netflix drops the teaser of ‘Break Point’
Rafael Nadal, Ons Jabeur, Novak Djokovic
Netflix had long back announced creating a show on tennis similar to F1’s ‘Drive to Survive’. The creative team has remained the same and the crew captured the entire season through their lenses to convert it into the show titled ‘Break Point‘.
The show will have clips of some important moments of the season with behind-the-stage drama and players’ interviews as well. The show will be broken down into multiple episodes to cover the entire course of the season on both ATP and WTA Tours along with the Grand Slams as well.
The teaser was released on Youtube as well as the official Twitter handles of all four Grand Slams. It went viral shortly after. The 38-second clip features all of the popular players with some nerve-cracking moments along with off-the-court moments where the players can be seen doing activities other than tennis.
The teaser has however hinted at multiple parts being released for the show. The first part drops on Netflix on 13th January 2023, a few days before the 2023 Australian Open kicks off in Melbourne. It will be a complete cycle as the show’s filming started in Australia at the start of the 2022 season and so does the teaser of the show.

Clips of Serena Williams‘ farewell matches can also be seen while Kyrgios smashing his rackets and Frances Tiafoe bringing out his dance moves are also present in the teaser.
As soon as the teaser dropped, the video went viral in tennis circles and fans shared their excitement on seeing what’s in store for them after a season-long worth wait. Many took to Twitter to express their views and a few are shared below.
With exactly 29 days to go, fans still have the trailer to get further excited for the show before its release in January. With a new concept taken to increase the viewership of the sport as it happened with F1, it will surely be a great watch for sports fans in general.
