One of the rituals of the tennis world in recent times is Nick Kyrgios making the headlines on and off. Either for good reasons or for his dicey takes. It has happened again as the Australian responds wittily to a fan who shares his opinion on the tennis ace. The fan with the Twitter handle ‘@BarclayCard18′ shared his opinion on the platform, which attracted Kyrgios’ attention.

The tennis fan in a tweet asked everyone if their opinion about a tennis player has ever changed over time. He then shares his own story of liking Nick Kyrgios a lot in his initial days. He also said that he used to defend the Aussie religiously. However, with time and the stories that have come out from the Kyrgios world have made him dislike the Aussie. Kyrgios in reply tweeted, “How many conversations you and I had in person? Moral of the story is…. Why do you have an opinion. ‘What you read’ nice one.” Kyrgios, in his own style, conveyed that most of what is written about him is not true and the fan shouldn’t have believed any of that. Kyrgios has previously also said that he often feels like a villain and has blamed many fake articles for creating an image like that of his.

Nick Kyrgios is still struggling in his battle with injuries this season. Having played only one match in the entire calendar year so far at Stuttgart, the Aussie would like to get fit quickly to make the most of the second half of the season. However, he will not be seen at this year’s Washington Open as he continues to recover. Kyrgios is a two-time champion at the event.

He won it for the first time in 2019 when he beat Daniil Medvedev in the final 7-6 7-6. He again won all five rounds in 2022 when he comfortably beat Yoshihito Nishioka 6-4 6-3. He knows the court well and will be gutted to miss out. It remains suspense on whether the American will play at the Canadian Open or the Cincinnati Open.
