Nick Kyrgios, a very talented tennis player, has an interest in other sports as well. Basketball being one of them, the Australian has displayed his love for the sport time and again. Recently, he celebrated NBA icon Stephen Curry’s win at the 3-point shootout during the All-Star Weekend.
One of the NBA’s best 3-point shooters Steph Curry was up against the best shooter in WNBA Sabrina Ionescu for the best three-pointer player. In a first-ever battle between the NBA and WNBA stars, the two three-pointer specialists battled it out for a prestigious belt.
Curry is a two-time NBA three-pointer contest winner and even has the record for most number of three-pointers in his career (3642). However, his opponent was not bad herself, as she was the leading 3-point scorer in the WNBA, and narrowly lost to Curry for the belt.
It was a close encounter, but the Golden State Warrior edged out a victory, beating Ionescu 29-26. Nick Kyrgios expressed his views on this, as he dropped a tweet fanboying over Curry. “Thankyou Steph Curry” tweeted Kyrgios, who seemingly enjoyed the 3-pointer contest to settle the debate as to who the better shooter is.

Australian talent Nick Kyrgios is a very unique player who is known to have the perfect touch on the ball. Last year, the former Wimbledon finalist revealed his comparison between NBA and Tennis, and how tennis can improve their environment such that there is a union between the players.

The Australian is a huge NBA fan and has even based his tennis on the NBA. Now and then, he drops a tweet for the NBA such as a praiseworthy post for Steph Curry, who beat Sabrina Ionescu in a three-pointer battle.
In a much-awaited crossover, Curry was up against Ionescu, who had created history in the WBA by shooting the most number of 3-pointers. Despite the lines and balls being different from each other, Curry pulled off a victory as he raised money for his charity. Nonetheless, Nick Kyrgios is still awaiting a green light from the doctors, to go out there and play tennis.
