Nick Kyrgios, the Australian tennis player has been out of the game for a while due to injury problems. Earlier in the year, due to a wrist injury, the Aussie was out of Wimbledon as well as the US Open. In a recent podcast, he credits Novak Djokovic for being the best in the world and showers the Serb with praises.
In a podcast with the one and only Mike Tyson which was shot before the 2023 US Open, Nick says a few kind words for the Serbian pro. “ I think he is the best ever, like 23 Grand Slams. And he still got a couple more in him as well, it’s crazy. I don’t think he gets the credit he deserves enough, he’s almost been on tour for nearly 20 years as well.” says Nick in the podcast which was posted on his Instagram.
Although Nick has always been a huge Roger Federer fan, he does not hesitate to give Novak the credit he deserves. Novak Djokovic is currently ranked number 1 in the men’s ranking after a memorable win at the US Open. With the win, he achieved the milestone of joining Margaret Court in the league of having 24 single Grand Slam titles.

Nick Kyrgios declares Novak the GOAT of Tennis
In the interview with boxing legend Mike Tyson, Nick Kyrgios reveals who is the greatest of all time (GOAT) in tennis. The debate about the best tennis player has always been around for a long time between the Big Three, Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, and Roger Federer. “ I think Novak is the greatest of all time, but for me, Federer was the hardest to play. Something about him… he was really aggressive and didn’t give you much room to breathe,” said Nick on the podcast.
While opinions of Nick may vary, his recent praises for Novak have sparked some debate on a bigger scale. Whether or not one agrees with the Australian, it is undeniable that Novak has cemented his place as one of the best players in tennis and is currently playing in a league of his own. As the Serbian continues his quest for further Grand Slams, it will be fascinating to see how Nick Kyrgios will return to tennis and go back to his old ways.
