Nick Kyrgios is fondly known as the ‘bad boy of tennis’. The 28-year-old Australian is known for his on-court antics. While his emotional outbursts are often talked about, Kyrgios is also criticized for not taking the game seriously. His shot-making was also questioned at every juncture. However, the Australian is least bothered about such criticism.
As Kyrgios has stated many times before, the 28-year-old enjoys his game and does things that he feels are right in a certain situation. Kyrgios echoed his statements during a chat with American businessman Gary Vaynerchuk.
The 28-year-old said that while he was questioned for his shots every single time, he continued playing them because he liked it. Kyrgios also claimed that the younger generation takes inspiration from him and he is happy to see them enjoying themselves on the court.
My entire childhood when I'm playing tennis I am always asked by coaches 'Why am I doing this?' I am playing these shots under pressure and everyone is like 'he has got no discipline'. I am playing these because in the moment it feels right to me and I look at kids playing this way, it inspires me.Nick Kyrgios said oon Good Trouble.
Nick Kyrgios prefers to stay away from tennis court
Nick Kyrgios is enjoying his time away from the tennis court. The Australian has not set foot on the court for over a year now. While Kyrgios talks about missing the action, the two-time Wimbledon finalist has kept himself engaged with various other activities.
Apart from running a chat show where Kyrgios invites personalities from different professions and decodes their journey with them, the Australian is also reaping the rewards of being an Onlyfans creator. The Australian recently flaunted the platform’s achievement where it claimed to have paid $15 billion to its creators.
But Kyrgios is also working on his fitness to make a comeback to the tour. He recently shared an update about his recovery and said that he is slowly and steadily making progress. However, Kyrgios refused to set a timeframe for his comeback.
