Kyrgios had thrashed the Kazakh player for his remarks, calling it “lowkey horrible”. As Bublik vented out his frustration after losing to Thiem at the 2023 US Open by uttering words in Russian, he was called out.

This is low key horrible.
Nick Kyrgios had written on Twitter (now X) then.

Meanwhile, Thiem had slipped it under the carpet saying Bublik would not have meant it that way. Nevertheless, the Austrian is now struggling with his wrist and Kyrgios can feel the struggle considering he has also been out of the tour with a similar issue.

The Australian has been trying hard to make a comeback to the tour but has not been able to recover yet. It is to be seen when Kyrgios gets match-fit. Thiem, meanwhile, will be hoping to turn his fortune around when he returns to the court this time.
