Australian tennis star Nick Kyrgios has been out from tennis due to injury for quite some time now with his fans going impatient. Kyrgios last played way back in February against Wu Yibing which was also his only appearance this year. Finishing off the last year in fine fashion with a Wimbledon final appearance in his CV, many expected big things from him this year, but Kyrgios’ knee couldn’t suffice the heavy workload.
For any sports star to be sitting at home with an injury can be very hectic, leading to their morale getting downgraded and also leads to them losing self-confidence. The same has happened with Nick who has now been losing patience while he deals with several trolls and critics on social media.
On Wednesday (2 August), a guy named Scott Barclay reposted a headline that read about the dismissal of Nick from the TOP 100 rankings. Scott added the caption, “This’ll be good for him, he’ll now be able to relate to the lower-ranked players he spends so much time making fun of on Twitter.”
This angered Nick a lot and the Australian left a reply. “That’s what happens when you pack out crowds everywhere in the world my boy. That includes you live streaming it with your hands down your pants,” replied Kyrgios. For someone as reputed and respected as him, it is a serious career low to be moving around replying to unknown people on Twitter.
Nick Kyrgios-The Bad Guy!

Despite his charisma on the court, Nick Kyrgios has faced several problems regarding his egoistic behavior in the past. He has been associated with several verbal exchanges with fans during matches. He has been criticized a lot of times due to this and he also faced legal charges after he forced a fan to leave the court during the Australian Open.
Now as Kyrgios got involved in banter with a troll, fans were quick to call out the Australian. Sharing a wide spectrum of reactions online, here’s what fans had to say.
In another incident at the Wimbledon final against Novak Djokovic, he accused a woman of being drunk. He then went on to get her removed from the stands which also angered a lot of fans over the world. He faced severe legal actions after that but Kyrgios is not a person who learns from his mistakes either. He also abused and criticized another fan for watching his game on a Sunday night giving the world another indication of what a self-centered and short-tempered person he is.
