As the never-ending social media rift between Nick Kyrgios and Boris Becker takes a new turn yet again, there is no saying that this is the absolute end to their long-lasting feud. The Australian brought yet another angle into this clash as he responded to the credibility claims by the German legend.

The World No.192 recently took to his social media handle to respond to Boris Becker’s question regarding the Australian’s credibility. Nick Kyrgios stated:

Not once have I taken ‘slams’ away from Becker, or any of these legends. Not once have I said I’ve impacted the game MORE. I’ve simply said that I’ve built my own brand and done it my way & brought fans. Apparently a slam finalist has no credibility. Night, done with this convo.

This response came after the 6 time Grand Slam champion questioned the credibility of the 2022 Wimbledon finalist. He also stated how the Australian has not won any singles Grand Slam title to date and only has a doubles major title. Clearly, these statements did not sit well with the recently turned analyst and commentator for Tennis Channel.

Nick Kyrgios came out in his defence and stated that he should have some credibility in reaching the finals of the Grand Slam. He also justified his claim and clarified how he simply called the older generation of players slower compared to the new and more fast-paced nature of the game which they would find difficult to adjust. He specifically targeted the German retired professional while expressing his point of view.

A look into the social media battle between Nick Kyrgios and Boris Becker

A social media feud was started by the Australian when he started comparing the older generation of tennis players, claiming that the game was slower back then and that the past pros could prove to be no match to the current generation of tennis players due to the fast-paced nature of the game in today’s time.

These claims did not sit well with the former German World No.1 and things took an ugly turn when Nick Kyrgios took a more personal dig at the retired tennis player’s time in prison. Boris Becker stepped up to be the bigger man and tried to end the feud between the two, but recently again brought up the issue of how the Australian must learn to respect the older generation of players for making what tennis is today. The World No.192 also posted one last message in his response before finally calling an end to this conversation.
