The Australian star, Nick Kyrgios finally explained the reason for his ‘s** act’ with a water bottle during his 2018 Queen’s Club semi-final. Five years after being slapped with a hefty £12k ($15k) fine for mimicking a s** act with a water bottle during his semi-final match against Marin Cilic at the ATP 500 in Queen’s, Nick Kyrgios revisits the controversial incident.

The World No. 19 recently opened up about his motivation for the behavior that made headlines, explaining his actions. The Aussie hasn’t made his debut this season due to a knee injury, However, he had never been off the news and kept remaining active through some controversies. He recently attended Logan Paul’s podcast, Impaulsive where he talked about many controversial incidents of his career.

Nick explained in the podcast saying “I was at this really prestigious tournament and I pretended to jerk off with a water bottle, I got fined $15,000. It’s bad for tennis. I just don’t know. I was looking at my team, my team was in the box just having fun. And this is the semi-finals of like a really prestigious event. And I don’t know, I just felt like doing it. The face is the best bit.”

During a wide-ranging interview with Youtube personality Logan Paul, Australian tennis player Nick Kyrgios shared his opinion on the ongoing debate regarding the greatest tennis player of all time, taking a critical stance towards some of the sport’s legends. Kyrgios was candid in his assessment, comparing players from various eras in a fiery exchange.

He further compared Roger Federer to Michael Jordan but statistically, he felt Novak Djokovic is above all. Nick further denied bluntly when asked if McEnroe or Sampras would come close. He also talked about his appearance at last year’s Wimbledon where he came to the court with red shoes and a cap which isn’t allowed.

Novak Djokovic is currently fighting a diplomatic battle against the US securities, wherein he wants to play at the Indian Wells Masters while the authorities have still not allowed unvaccinated athletes to enter the States. With the backing of tennis legends including John McEnroe, it will be intriguing to see how events unfold for the Serbian star in near future.
