Australian tennis ace Nick Kyrgios does not shy away from voicing his opinions even if it means attracting criticism. The 28-year-old did the same when a pickleball player claimed that the new racket sport requires more skills than tennis. Kyrgios felt it was too much exaggeration and also challenged the player by drawing a Roger Federer analogy.
As Christian Alshon a tennis player turned pickleball player claimed that the new sport has made him a “much better athlete than tennis ever did”, Kyrgios laughed it out. The Australian suggested to Alshon that he hide under the bed after making such a comment.
Kyrgios did not look convinced by Alshon’s argument where he claimed that pickleball requires better reflexes. The Australian tennis star said that if the best pickleball player is compared with Roger Federer, the truth will be out in the open. Kyrgios declared it a wild thought.
Yeah. Let’s hide under the bed after this statement hahahaha bro get me the best pickleball player and compare his talent to Roger Federer. Wild tweet, wild thought. Delete right now. I love pickle. But you had too many tequilas.Nick Kyrgios said.

Notably, Alshon also replied to this post from Kyrgios. The American said that as pickleball is still growing, the comparison is not apt. Alshon also invited the Aussie to play the sport and teased Kyrgios saying that he might break into the top 10 there.
Notably, although Kyrgios hit at Alshon for his claims, the Australian is associated with the new racket sport as he co-owns the Miami Pickleball Club. The tennis ace believes that the sport has potential but claims about it being superior to tennis irked Nick Kyrgios.
