Nick Kyrgios has reacted to his ex-partner in doubles Jordan Thompson’s victory over German Alexander Zverev in the semifinals of the Los Cabos Open. The Aussie saved seven match points to claim a place in the final against Mexico.

Kyrgios formed a strong partnership with fellow Australian Thompson when they played at the 2017 Davis Cup. The duo went on to reach the semifinals of the tournament that year.

Thompson fought hard to upset Alexander Zverev 7-5, 4-6, 7-6(2) in a three hours and forty minutes contest. Alexander Zverev who was a favorite to win the tournament following his brilliant run in the Australian Open, could not handle the ferocious Aussie.

Nick Kyrgios then reacted on X (formerly known as Twitter), with a thirsty emoji hailing his fellow compatriot’s victory.

Thompson will now go on to play Norwegian Casper Ruud in the final. An exciting matchup awaits the audience at Los Cabos.

Nick Kyrgios shares recovery update on social media

Kyrgios recently shared a video of his intense workout in the gym, adding to the anticipation of his much-awaited comeback to the court. The Aussie “bad-boy”, who has been sidelined for over a year due to numerous injuries, looks to be nearing a return.

The 28-year-old has recently been involved with several off-court activities, including match commentary for ESPN at the Australian Open. However, with tennis fans eager for his big return, Kyrgios, the forever showman, has now fed them with hope.

The Wimbledon finalist shared his recovery update on his Instagram story. In the video, he was seen undergoing an intense physiotherapy session.
