The Australian made these revelations on the renowned podcast, On Purpose with Jay Shetty. In a chat that went on for over one and a half hours, Kyrgios talked about almost everything. He talked about feeling like a ‘circus animal’ while playing in front of packed stadiums. Kyrgios then said that he feels exhausted and is ‘sick of playing that role’. Hence, he has decided that he will play for one or two more years after making a comeback.

I have kind of come to peace with (the fact that) I only want to play for one or two years, be at the top, and go on my own terms. I would hate to have another surgery or anything like that. I think I still have still got the ability to have a good one to two years and then that's it. I will be at peace with everything I have achieved and anyone who wants to see me play more will have to be okay with me not playing anymore.
Nick Kyrgios said about his future plans.

The 28-year-old Australian said that he does not want to make a comeback just for the sake of it and wants to compete in Grand Slams. Hence, he is holding back his decision to return.

It's hard. I'm going to the gym, I'm doing my rehab. You might have something seriously wrong with your body and it takes time. I'm only human. I'd love to be like a Novak or someone who is almost always healthy. It takes months and months of strength, consistency, and diligence to get back to playing tennis at that high level. I don't want to get back on tour and just play decent. I was competing for Grand Slams so I want to get back to that level so it might take you know a bit more time.

It is worth mentioning that Nick Kyrgios has undergone surgeries on his knee as well as on his wrist and is still recovering. Although the Australian has begun mild practice, Kyrgios seems far from match-fit, and considering the demanding nature of the tour, the 28-year-old might take more time before he finally decides to return on the tour.
