Nick Kyrgios was seen playing pickleball at the rooftop pickleball court of QT Melbourne, a designer hotel in the heart of Melbourne. The Australian tennis player suffered an injury in 2023, from which he is still recovering.

He posted a video of him playing pickleball with one of his friends and in his usual lighthearted way, Kyrgios also made some big claims in the comments section while interacting with his fans.

Some fans pointed out that the Aussie is holding the pickleball paddle with his right hand, which implies that he is not yet gripping the paddle with his right hand. Kyrgios suffered a wrist injury after playing in the Stuttgart Open in June, which was also the only tournament that he played in the year 2023.

The video shows that he hasn’t recovered from the injury yet. He did not take part in the 2024 Australian Open and has also pulled out from the Indian Wells and the Miami Open for the same reason.

Many fans roasted the 28-year-old for playing pickleball because tennis fans do not rate the sport very highly.

Recently, when the former World No. 2 in doubles, Jack Sock, who transitioned to pickleball after the 2023 US Open, beat the fourth-best pickleball player in the world in the Hyundai Masters, the tennis world got together to troll the sport. They just need an opportunity to roast pickleball and Kyrgios’ post-game one such opportunity.

However, even Kyrgios did not shy away from taking a dig at the sport as he replied to one of the fans.

Btw, it’s my left hand. Give me a couple months and I would ruin anyone.

After the match, Kyrgios, who was on Eurosport’s commentary team, said that if it came down to that, he would step down on the court to defend Djokovic.

We had a rocky relationship at the start and a couple of things changed and now we literally speak nearly every day.
