Interestingly enough, this story is a major turnaround of the statements that Kyrgios made in the earlier weeks. In which the 2022 Grand Slam finalist hinted at retirement due to persistent injuries.

However, with the recent updates and the training sessions, the Australian star is surely looking to make a comeback in the season sooner or later. However, at the time of writing, there has been no official confirmation from Kyrgios.

Nick Kyrgios’ persistent injuries hampered his career at a crucial stage

The persistent injuries to Kyrgios have cut short his career. Kyrgios missed the entire season last year. Moreover, in the last two years of his professional career, he has only played one match. His injury came at a miserable time for him.

Prior to his injury, Kyrgios was in decent form, as he made a superb run in the finals of Wimbledon. In which he was beaten by World No. 1 Novak Djokovic at the Stuttgart Open. Notably, he was scheduled to return before the Australian Open this year.

However, after fitness concerns, he skipped the Grand Slam and is also reported to miss the next few major tournaments, such as the Indian Wells Masters 1000.
