Nick Kyrgios recently appeared in Mike Tyson’s ‘Hotboxin’ podcast and had a good chat with the boxing legend. The Aussie tennis star talked about a particular incident where he played in front of the British Royal family. According to him, he said he was ‘swearing his nuts off’. The incident tracks back to the 2022 Wimbledon final, where he took on Novak Djokovic.

Prince George, the son of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, is a well-known sports fanatic and he has been seen witnessing a number of sports events in recent years. He was present in the Wimbledon 2022 final between Novak Djokovic and Nick Kyrgios. From the stands, he could hear Nick Kyrgios swearing and was evidently pretty taken aback by it.

“I played in front of the Royal Box, and I was swearing a lot. Then, I saw photos of Prince William, the young one, making funny faces. He thought I was wild,” recounted Nick Kyrgios.

The Australian player said that he had no regrets about that, though, as this is who he is. Moreover, Nick Kyrgios thinks that tennis is already a very polite sport and that it should be more aggressive. “I was saying, this is what tennis should be like instead of being like the Queen’s rule where everybody’s polite,” he said.

“Sorry, the ball went in. I’m sorry I scored the point on you. That’s b******t.” Mike Tyson agreed with Kyrgios and opined that it makes the sport more entertaining. Fans can find the whole podcast episode on X.
