Earlier this year, Kyrgios admitted that he wanted to be back on the court this season. But that doesn’t look to be happening soon, as he has yet to give fans a definite timeline.

In addition, the Aussie is without a coach, and perhaps that is what has caused his long spell on the sidelines, without further information about his rehabilitation progress.

Patrick Mouratoglou hoping to coach Nick Kyrgios in the future

UTS boss Patrick Mouratoglou has revealed that he would love to coach Nick Kyrgios in the future. The Frenchman said that the Aussie has many smart things that can make him a Grand Slam winner.

Furthermore, Serena Williams’ former coach is convinced that Kyrgios would be one of the best players to be with and would unlock his potential by taking pressure away from him.

I think he would be one of the most exciting guys to coach. The thing is, for someone to have a coach, he needs to want it. You cannot work with a player who doesn’t want a coach. So that will be his decision one day, or maybe never, we’ll see. This guy has an incredible potential.
Said the Frenchman in an interview with The Age

Mouratoglou has coached the likes of Coco Gauff and Stefanos Tsitsipas and recently reunited with Holger Rune

I mean I’m not the only one probably, but I can feel him. I think there are a lot of very smart things to do with him to make him a Grand Slam winner, or more. You cannot coach him like you would coach anyone [else]. For him, you have to smartly take pressure away from him.
Continuing further, he added

However, at the time of writing, there’s no assurance that Kyrgios would link up with the renowned coach, as he is bent on making Rune a major champion.
