Australian tennis maverick Nick Kyrgios is finally making a comeback on the ATP tour, not as a player though. The 2022 Wimbledon finalist will be donning the commentator’s hat during the ATP Finals in Turin. Nick Kyrgios has signed a deal with Tennis Channel as an analyst and commentator for the season-ending championships, the media house announced on Tuesday.
Tennis Channel sent out a press release that announced the onboarding of Nick Kyrgios as the analyst for the ATP Finals in Turin. Renowned journalist Jon Wertheim also shared the extract from the release that announced the deal between Tennis Channel and Nick Kyrgios.

Nick Kyrgios, whose electric style of play and straight-to-the-point conversational approach have endeared him to millions of fans around the world, is joining Tennis Channel as an analyst during its coverage of the ATP Finals November 12-19.Tennis Channel announced Nick Kyrgios onboarding as an analyst for ATP Finals 2023
The statement further added:
It will be Kyrgios’ first time working with the network, and it will happen during the most exclusive event in men’s tennis, with just the top-eight singles players and doubles teams qualifying for the event based on points earned during the 2023 season.
With that being said, it will be interesting to see how a player who has been deemed outspoken and controversial does as an analyst.
When will Nick Kyrgios – the player return on the Tour?
While Nick Kyrgios the analyst is set to make his debut on the tour during the most prestigious event of the ATP season, the return of Nick Kyrgios the player still remains a matter of speculation. The Australia ace who was going strong last season, reaching the finals at Wimbledon, was pulled back by a series of injuries.

Nick Kyrgios has been facing issues with his knee and wrist. The Australian tried to make a comeback many times but his body did not allow him to compete at the highest level.
As a result, Kyrgios pulled out of all four Grand Slams and subsequent tournaments. The only match Kyrgios played this year was in the first round of the Stuggart Open.
Although Kyrgios has hinted at making a comeback next season, there is no certainty on the timeline. However, there are suggestions that the Australian will play at the Ultimate Tennis Showdown event in the first week of December, as he eyes up a return to the sport ahead of the Australian Open in January.
