Top-seeded Novak Djokovic of Serbia is up against Nick Kyrgios of Australia in a blockbuster and exciting final match on Sunday, 10th of July at the Wimbledon Championship 2022. Nick Kyrgios had a dramatical entry to his maiden Grand Slam final after the Spaniard Rafael Nadal decided to withdraw from the tournament due to his abdominal tear. Djokovic, the 20-time Grand Slam winner, came out of a thriller semifinal match defeating Cameron Norrie of Great Britain in four sets 2-6,6-3,6-2,6-4.
Djokovic is fighting for his 21st singles Grand Slam title whereas Nick Kyrgios will be aiming for his maiden title. The Serbian has won his past 27 matches at Wimbledon and has already surpassed Roger Federer‘s record of most major final appearances. Previously, Djokovic and Kyrgios have played 2 times against each other where Kyrgios won both matches.
