23-time Grand Slam winner Novak Djokovic has won many battles and many titles over the course of his illustrious career. But if there is any title that would always be close to the Serbian’s heart, it has to be his first Wimbledon triumph way back in 2011. He beat Rafael Nadal to clinch the golden trophy breaking the dominance held by Roger Federer and Rafa over the last 8 years.
But the main recent news that has broken out has been regarding the racquet that Novak used in that competition. He was partnered by ‘HEAD’ during that time and after winning the match, he threw his racquet into the crowd in delight. One of her fans and a cheerleader by profession, Coredilla Mackenzie got her hands on the piece of beauty but little did she know that it was going to help her build a fortune going into the future.
She has recently put the racquet up for auction after preserving it for 12 long years. She considered herself very lucky to have managed to get her hands on something as valuable as this. The fact that it was Novak’s first ever at the All England Club makes the racquet even more special. She talked about it saying, “I got tickets for Wimbledon in the lottery, and then after the final match she returned home with the racket that Novak Djokovic won the tournament with. It was really fantastic”
Will Novak Djokovic go on to become the greatest ever at Wimbledon?

Novak Djokovic was on a hunt for a record eighth Wimbledon title which is currently being held by Roger Federer. He was fighting for a lot of records in this year’s Wimbledon Championship, and having to fail to lift the title ultimately has let him lose on a great opportunity that his fans doubt will ever come again. Djokovic had the opportunity of making it a calendar Grand Slam this year but will have to have a go at it next year yet again.
With his fight against age, it will be tough for Novak to even think about any more Wimbledon titles, be alone the Calendar Grand Slam. Emerging players like Rune, Sinner, Ruud, and Alcaraz are almost at the peak of their careers and will most likely beat the Serbian for speed and fitness as well.
So, it won’t be a shock if Novak fails to win another Wimbledon title again, and he also knew what a grievous missed opportunity it was for him this year when his body was still reacting according to his liking.
