How often do we see Novak Djokovic accept defeat from an opponent? In a recent turn of events, Novak Djokovic accepted defeat in a practice match against Serbian Bojana Javanovic. Ahead of the Paris Masters in Belgrade, Novak was seen practicing against various opponents in preparation for the tournament.

The Tennis Legend took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to release a small snippet of Novak Djokovic playing a few shots against Bojana Jovanovic. In one of the points, the Serbian was outfoxed by his opponent as she sliced the ball to his backhand and followed it up with a hard forehand to the other side to win the point.

However, fans who have been following Nole know that he doesn’t stay put, and as expected, Novak changed the gear to dominate the next point by dropping the ball neatly so that Bojana wasn’t able to reach it.

Yeah, she is better. I have to go back to training and try to reach that level

Novak Djokovic said hilariously after the match.

He humbly yet jokingly accepted his defeat and recognized where he needed to improve.

Novak has won a total of 6 titles in Paris, his last coming in 2021. The 24-time Grand Slam title champion came close to winning last year but unfortunately fell short to youngster Holger Rune. He has won a total of 6 titles in this tournament.

The Paris Open is also special for the Serb, as he will become the only player who has played in the most editions of this tournament and holds a few records as well.

Nole has the most wins, most titles, and most final appearances in the Paris Open, making him one of the favorites in this year’s draw. With only a few tournaments left, Novak will try to make the best of these and end the season on a high.
