World No. 1 Novak Djokovic must be in a league of his own after the recent success that he has gone through this year. From making it to the finals of every single Grand Slam to lifting three of them, Djokovic is still the man to beat, even at this point in his career.

With that being said, there is no denying that he is currently 36 years old and has nothing more left to prove. However, interestingly, in a recent interview with Eurosport, Djokovic went on to speak about the downside of going through one of the best phases of his career this year.

As per the tennis professional himself, he is lacking motivation after his 24th Grand Slam title victory, and his team along with coach Goran Ivanisevic are trying day and night to keep him fully motivated for the future.

I'm as flawed a human being as can be. I need even more extra motivation nowadays at this later stages of my career than maybe what I needed five years ago or 10 years ago. Things are different. My life is evolving. Goran and the rest of the team are trying to find new ways to motivate me. They haven't been succeeding much so far.

Novak Djokovic’s success with Goran Ivanisevic

Novak Djokovic split up with longtime coach Marian Vajda way back in March last year. It was Vajda with whom he enjoyed the most memorable moments in his career, going through several highs and lows. He then laid down his trust in Ivanisevic, who joined hands with the Serbian and went on to witness even more success.

Just when everybody thought that Novak would be slowing down considering his age, Ivanisevic transformed him into a different beast, with the duo going on to win several more titles, such as the Rome Open, Wimbledon, Tel Aviv Open, Astana Open, Nitto ATP Finals, Adelaide International, Australian Open, French Open, and Western & Southern Open.
