Novak Djokovic calls himself a ‘FLAWED’ person as he comments on smashing rackets on court
Novak Djokovic talks about his ways of handling his emotions and agrees that he is ashamed of breaking racquets during matches.
World No. 1 Novak Djokovic is known to be in the limelight, be it for good reasons or bad ones. Well, this is what comes in as a prize for being the best player in the sport.
It has now become a common phenomenon where the Serbian suddenly comes up on the news for something he has done in the past, despite taking the sport by storm with his gameplay.
One of the examples of such incidents is his history with racquets. It is not a secret that the 24-time Grand Slam winner likes to take it out on his racquets when things on the court don’t go in his favor.
Djokovic recently sat for an interview with the media team of 60 Minutes where he was asked to comment on situations where he loses his calm and his emotions get the better of him.
As per the tennis sensation himself, he knows that he has broken a lot of racquets during matches and that he isn’t very proud of his actions. He also talked about the fact that he has been ashamed of this situation and learned from his mistakes.
Well, look I have broke racquets in my life. You know, no doubt about it and I am not proud about that and I am ashamed of myself when I do that no doubt. But at the same time, I accept myself as a flawed human being.He said

Novak Djokovic has been one of the prime examples of racquet crushers trying to use this action to take out their anger. Be it the points not going in his favor or some faulty umpire decisions, he has in the past quite often repeated.
But of the various racquet-breaking incidents, the most iconic one has to be the Wimbledon reaction this year against Carlos Alcaraz.
Djokovic went mad at himself for dropping silly points, due to which he slammed his racquet against the post of the net. He was later under huge criticism for having caused harm to the All-England Club property.
Another memorable moment was when Djokovic crushed his racquet on the warm bench with his leg at Roland Garros against Rafael Nadal.
