Tennis player Novak Djokovic of Serbia achieved a record 24th Grand Slam title in his career by winning the US Open title. One of the best athletes in history and the GOAT of white sports, the stunning Serb once again proved what we already knew.
Journalists were curious about Novak’s perspective on this issue and whether he believes he is the greatest player of all time, even though there is no longer any need for a conversation on that subject because the facts speak for themselves.
The Serbian ace sighed and absorbed the harsh reality into his face as soon as he heard the question. In a conversation with the Serbian media house Kurir, the World No. 1 expressed his opinion on the GOAT debate. He said that he’ll leave the decision of whether or not he deserves to participate in that discussion up to everyone else.
The 24-time Grand Slam title winner further pointed out the hypocrisy of the people saying that if he were not from Serbia, he would have had a godly status in the sport. He said, “If I wasn’t from Serbia, many years ago I would have been lifted to heaven in the sports level, especially in the Western world.”
He remarked that he was proud of his heritage and grateful to be Serbian. This fact gives him immense hope and faith. He ended his comments by saying, “let them write what they think!“

Novak Djokovic pays a tribute to Kobe after his 24th Grand Slam Title
Djokovic defeated Daniil Medvedev 6-3, 7-6 (7/5), 6-3 to win his fourth US Open title and get retribution for the Russian’s defeat two years ago that ended his hopes of completing a calendar Grand Slam.
Later, Djokovic unveiled a t-shirt featuring a picture of him and Kobe Bryant, the legendary basketball player known as “Mamba” for his fierce competition. The Los Angeles Lakers legend’s number, 24, which he wore during his NBA career, was displayed on the back.
Djokovic said that Bryant, who passed away in a helicopter crash three years prior, had inspired him at some of his career’s most trying moments, including a potentially career-ending elbow injury in 2017.
