Novak Djokovic comments on the possibility of becoming President of Serbia amid his massive following and remarkable philanthropic work
Novak Djokovic denied any interest in becoming the President of Serbia, says his role is different from that of a politician.

World No.1, Novak Djokovic has an undoubtedly huge fan base all over the world, especially in his own country, Serbia. The 24-time Grand Slam champion enjoys a massive fan following back home to the extent that there are talks of him having a potential shot at becoming the President of the nation.
His huge following and his excellent philanthropic work have led to this kind of discussion being held in Serbia. Commenting on the possibility of him becoming the President of his nation, Djokovic stated,
No no no. I think my responsibility and my role is a little different with sports, with education and my foundation.during his conversation with French outlet C à Vous.
The reigning US Open champion completely denied having any aim or ambition relating to becoming the President of Serbia. He also mentioned that being a sportsperson, his role is a lot different from that of a politician. Talking about the work he and his family have done in Serbia over the year Novak Djokovic mentioned:
I think my wife, my family and I did a good job. Over the last fifteen years, for example, we have allowed 50,000 children to join the educational program.
Novak Djokovic and his foundation have helped a lot of citizens in the sports and education field. Novak Djokovic has also set up a tennis foundation in Serbia to help build the careers of many potential tennis players from within the country. He is like a national hero for the people.

The 7-time Wimbledon champion, Novak Djokovic most recently won his 7th Paris Masters title, defeating Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov in the finals. The Serbian now has a total of 40 ATP titles, most by any other player in tennis. Novak Djokovic will next play at the ATP Finals in Turin and make sure to complete the year on a high.
It is now most likely that Novak Djokovic will finish another year of his career as the World No.1. The poor performance by Carlos Alcaraz in the Asian leg and other tournaments of the remaining season have aided in this cause. The Serbian legend has the chance to complete the year at the top of the rankings for the 8th time in his career.
