Novak Djokovic confirms press conference to address fake injury accusations levied at the Australian Open
Fed up with the rumors and speculations about his Australian Open injury, Novak Djokovic has finally decided to hold a press conference.

Serbian tennis icon Novak Djokovic is finally fed up with the negative reports doing the rounds about his injury. He has decided to settle the dust around the issues once and for all through a press conference, the date of which is yet to be announced. The 35-year-old acknowledged the drama going on since the Australian Open and now he is ready to address it directly. He will hold a press conference on 22nd February at 2 PM local time.
Djokovic suffered a hamstring injury on his path to the title Down Under. During the matches, he was visibly in pain which risked the derailment of his rhythm. But the champion he is, the 22-time Grand Slam champion continued his run and sealed his record-extending 10th title in Melbourne.
His fans celebrated Djokovic’s victory as Rod Laver Arena was swept with emotions. The local public embraced the Serb with open arms as well. But at the same time, rumors started surfacing about his ‘fake injury’. Now Djokovic has decided to dispel them.
“I know everything, but I can’t tell you anything, sorry. I decided to have a press conference and I will answer all questions there, I have already arranged with my PR team, and the invitation will arrive in a few days,” Djokovic told Jelena Medic of Sportal. The date of the press conference will be revealed soon.
Whatever the murmurs outside, Djokovic is looking as good as ever

The Serb never got the treatment that he definitely deserves. Year after year he has proved himself in all types of situations and surfaces. When compared to his rivals, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, Djokovic is definitely the most complete athlete, and his record doesn’t lie.
As the season progresses, Djokovic is looking in control totally and it would not be a surprise if he ends the year with the most number of Major singles titles. He is currently in Belgrade and has started warming up for Dubai. The event to scheduled to start on 27th February.
As far as the injury is concerned, the full picture is yet to come out in the open. But the Serb is definitely on a song. Many tennis pundits like Martina Navratilova have already endorsed him to continue his domination in the entire season. And Djokovic, who is looking as good as ever, is aiming not to disappoint either.
