The 24-time Grand Slam Champion, Novak Djokovic took up the golf clubs, replacing his tennis racket to compete in the All-Star match of the Ryder Cup in Rome. Djokovic, one of the most hilarious guys on the tennis Tour did not fail to entertain the crowd in Rome as well. The World No.1 is taking a much-needed break from tennis and participating in fun events meanwhile.
At one point in the game, Novak Djokovic also did the famous Cristiano Ronaldo ‘siu’ celebration after teeing on the 3rd par. He was seen doing a bunch of other funny stuff in the process of struggling to play golf.
Novak Djokovic’s love for football is a known fact. He is an avid follower of the sport and always makes it a point to attend a few games when he gets time away from the Tour. He is often seen with famous footballers who also attend a few of the Serb’s games. His love for football is only second to tennis as his father was also a professional footballer. Djokovic also met Lionel Messi in New York right before the start of his US Open campaign. The Serb had posted a picture of them together on his social media handle.
Novak Djokovic is playing alongside golfer Kipp Popert in the same team. The duo were up against Spanish Formula One driver, Carlos Sainz. The Serbian’s team won 3-1 against their opponent as a result of Djokovic’s best shot of the day as he sent the ball teeing on the 3rd par. This shot got loud cheers from the crowd post and Novak did the ‘siu’ celebration which was made famous by legendary football player, Cristiano Ronaldo.
Novak Djokovic will return to the tennis court at the Paris Masters
The World No.1 will next return to the Tour at the Paris Masters in October. The US Open Champion is taking some time off from the sport to clear his mind and body for the remaining season.

He is playing at the Ryder Cup in Rome. Djokovic already has a few priorities lined up this season which include taking Serbia to victory in the Davis Cup this year.
Novak Djokovic has also stated his non-participation in the China Open this year and said that he will be concentrating on the more important tournaments in the remaining season. This decision of his could potentially harm the chances of him ending the year as No.1 as his rival, Carlos Alcaraz is already eyeing the number 1 spot and is not so far behind it either.
