Novak Djokovic, one of the most prominent tennis players of all time, has been entertaining fans all across the world through his gameplay and aggressive intent for nearly 15 years. But the thing that has always circulated around him are his critics, who have kept him behind Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal.

Last year, even after bagging the prestigious Wimbledon for a straight fifth time, he was stripped of the Championship points. Furthermore, Novak is now seeded second at the grasscourt Major after being dethroned by young prodigy Carlos Alcaraz. He will go into the competition as the second seed, which has angered a lot of fans. As expected, the All England Club, which governs the competition, has received a huge amount of criticism.

However, just a few hours ago, Wimbledon shared a picture of Novak Djokovic along with his seven Wimbledon trophies, followed by the caption, “Five Ridiculous Novak Djokovic Wimbledon Stats.” Thereby finally acknowledging the Serbian’s efforts all through these years.

The fans have exploded on Twitter with their witty replies, saying that Wimbledon has finally come to its senses, even if it has taken a long time. Sharing a wider spectrum of reactions online, here’s what fans have to say:

Novak Djokovic has been on a different level every time he has set foot on the grass court, and nobody has been able to beat him in the last four years at Wimbledon. With that being said, it seems like the Serb has set his eyes on another Federer record for most Wimbledon titles to get himself rebranded as the ultimate “king of grass.”

With Rafael Nadal dropping out due to his injuries, Novak will go into the tournament as a clear favorite. The Serb has been unbeaten on the Wimbledon court since 2018 and is only behind Roger Federer in terms of most singles wins at the competition.
