It has been a wonderful battle so far at the Wimbledon Championships, and we have our finalists at last with both aiming highly at the golden trophy at stake on Sunday. When the tournament began, everyone expected either of these two world-class players to lift the trophy at the end of Sunday, and the wish has finally been granted with Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic booking their place in the title decider.

After Novak Djokovic’s impressive win against one of the contenders of the tournament, Jannik Sinner; the Serb ended the match in straight sets by 6-3, 6-4, 7-6(4), it has clearly been seen by many as the year of the Djoker. With the Australian Open and the Roland Garros finally, in the bag, he is in the hunt for the famous English trophy as well. In the post-match conference, he asked the media whether his top pick, Alcaraz won his respective semi-final against Medvedev with deep enthusiasm.

When he was informed that the Spanish youngster won his match as well, setting up an intensive final with him, he replied, “It’s going to be a great challenge, greatest challenge that I could have at the moment from any angle really: physical, mental, emotional. Yes, I do have more experience playing in many more Grand Slam or Wimbledon finals than him. Still, he’s in great shape. He’s very motivated. He’s young. He’s hungry. I’m hungry, too, so let’s have a feast”

Novak Djokovic is one of the players who love to face a tough challenge and has been exceeding his limitations for the last decade. After booking his place in this year’s Wimbledon finals, he has yet again proved his worth by answering all the critics who ruled him out before the tournament.

He fell down in the rankings and since then has received several comments referring to his longevity and his age but the Serbian has announced himself to the entire world saying, “36 is the new 26”.

He also had his views on facing one the clear favorite and the current World No.1 in the finals on Sunday saying, “This is probably the most anticipated finals I guess from the beginning of the tournament, from most of the people. Alcaraz, myself… It will be his first finals in Wimbledon. I guess I want to take this title without a doubt. I look forward to it.”
