Serbian tennis ace Novak Djokovic is making a comeback at the Indian Wells after five long years. The 24-time Grand Slam champion has not played at the ATP 1000 event after 2019. Djokovic is excited to return to one of the most loved Masters tournaments on the tour and so are his fans.
As the tournament kickoff is just a few hours away, Novak Djokovic hit the practice courts in Indian Wells on Monday. The 36-year-old hit a few forehands and a few backhands to warm up his body. Djokovic also had a look at the practice court.
The video of Djokovic practicing in Indian Wells was shared on the tournament’s official Instagram handle. The post also had an interesting caption, praising Djokovic’s determination.

Novak Djokovic eyes first title of 2024 and sixth at Indian Wells
Novak Djokovic has entered prep mode and the 24-time Grand Slam champion will be eyeing nothing less than a title here in Indian Wells. The Serbian did not get the desired start to the 2024 season as he was denied a chance to lift his eleventh Australian Open title.
Nevertheless, Djokovic has a chance to lift his first title of the season at the 2024 Indian Wells. The Serbian is a five-time champion at the ATP 1000 tournament and will back himself to go the distance. Djokovic is coming fresh from a vacation with his family and will be rejuvenated.
The Serbian himself talked about being excited to make a comeback at Indian Wells. Djokovic said that it is his favorite Masters tournament and he is excited to return. The 36-year-old has been given a bye in the first round this year. In his first match, Djokovic might face Aleksandar Vukic or a qualifier.
