Novak Djokovic had a great time with basketball legend Lebron James, as the Serbian traded a signed racquet with a bear hug after the NBA game between the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Lakers.

Just a few days after Roger Federer paid a visit to the Golden State Warriors team during his time in San Francisco, Novak Djokovic was among the 18,000 spectators to watch the NBA top match.

In a sold-out Crypto.com Arena, Lebron James put up a fine performance, scoring 40 points, but it was Curry who won the day with 128-121.

Similarly, Djokovic had earlier suffered an embarrassing loss in the BNP Paribas Open after losing to Luca Nardi 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 in the third round. However, the Serbian looked to have put the defeat aside, as he was all smiles on the basketball courtside.

After the game, the 24-time Grand Slam title winner gave Lebron James a signed racquet, with the basketball legend hugging him with appreciation. Also, Djokovic was also spotted alongside Curry, as he signed a racquet for the basketball player while Curry signed on his jersey before swapping and taking a picture.

That's awesome.

Last year, Djokovic participated in eight tournaments, including four Grand Slams, and looks likely to be following the same routine this year. The Serbian has only featured in two tournaments and is without a title this season.

Novak Djokovic to skip 2024 Miami Open

Much to the dismay of fans, World No. 1 Novak Djokovic announced that he would not compete at the Miami Open, just less than a week after losing to Luca Nardi in the third round of Indian Wells. The Serbian is a six-time champion of the Miami Open.

At Indian Wells, he lost to Nardi, a ‘lucky loser’ who stumbled into the main draw of the BNP Paribas Open as a replacement for an injured player.

At this stage of my career, I’m balancing my private and professional schedule. I’m sorry that I won’t experience some of the best and most passionate fans in the world.

Perhaps a major schedule shift will see him participate in fewer tournaments before he hangs his racquet.

However, Djokovic still maintains an 8-2 record this season, but without a title, which is rare for the World No. 1.
