Novak Djokovic, the six-time Italian Open winner, and defending champion, has qualified for the Round of 16 after a victory against Grigor Dimitrov. Novak Djokovic aims to do well in the Italian Open 2023 as he prepares for Roland Garros. After his match against Grigor Dimitrov, Novak Djokovic was asked about how he performs under pressure. 

Novak Djokovic admitted to falling short under too much pressure in the early days of his career, but he gradually learned from all the experiences. The world No. 1 gave credit to his established rivalries against the three greats, Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, and Andy Murray, for making him stronger.

Novak has already mentioned multiple times that his main focus is Roland Garros 2023. Roger Federer is retired, and Rafael Nadal’s injury has made his participation uncertain. Rafael Nadal is the defending champion of the French Open, and fans want to see him make his comeback. Andy Murray has made it clear that he intends to participate in the competition too. “If I feel like I can have a good run there, I would like to play,” said Andy Murray in April.

Novak Djokovic said, “I got stronger because of the rivalries, particularly with Federer, Nadal, and Murray. Just staying the course, staying patient, and believing in the process and the journey,”. Novak Djokovic also mentioned that players need to understand themselves and figure out what suits them the best because everyone is different and unique. According to him, working hard to get better and believing in the process are essential. Players have to figure out their own winning formula and stick to it.
