Team World’s Diego Schwartzman reacts to Novak Djokovic’s inclusion in Team Europe

Team Europe has assembled a fantasy line-up for September’s Laver Cup in London after announcing Novak Djokovic’s participation on Friday. The Wimbledon champion will line up alongside Roger Federer, Andy Murray and Rafael Nadal for the three-day event at the O2 Arena. The players are dubbed the “Big Four” of men’s tennis has won 66 of the past 76 grand slam titles on offer.

The news of Novak’s inclusion shocked every tennis fan as they would be witnessing all of the big-4 will be playing together as a team for the first in history. But for the Argentine, the news came as a nightmare because he will be playing against these legends in the Laver Cup. Although Team world also has talented players alongside Schwartzman, such as Felix Auger-Aliassime, Taylor Fritz and others to be decided soon.

The three-day team event marks singles and doubles matches, all best of three sets. Each match win is worth one point on Friday, two points on Saturday, and three points on Sunday. The first team with 13 points wins, and if the score is 12-12 at the end of all 12 matches, a one-set doubles decider will be played to select the winner.
