24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic looked eager to get off the court, as he clarified his schedule for the final few months of the season. Following his seventh title at the Paris Masters, he had appeared on Marion Bartoli‘s show. There, he mentioned that he was looking forward to a few days with his family as the Serb is set to participate in the season closer in Turin.

Nevertheless, it has been a good year for the Serb. The US Open saw the 36-year-old moving back to the No. 1 spot, a position he has now held for a record 397 weeks. If he completes the year on top, he will have achieved the feat for a record eight times. Nole will also be the only player to reach the 400-week mark for being in the No.1 rank.

On Monday I will leave for Serbia, and then I will take a three day break without touching the racket, it will do me good.

He appeared to be eager to get back home and toss his racket for a while. However, he was certain that completing the year in the No. 1 position would be a top priority.

Novak Djokovic reveals his calendar for the next few months

The World No.1 has a clearly planned out calendar till the season ends. While his goal remains to end the year in the top rank, he has a meticulous schedule that allows him to do so.

He said:

Thursday, I will already be in Turin where the first objective will be to win a group match to finish the year as World Number 1.

Djokovic has previously emphasized that his biggest goal for the year was to end the season on top. With the year coming to an end, this seems like the only way the season is going to end. He also emphasized that representing Serbia in the Davis Cup will be a top priority.

Finally, I also have in mind the final phase of the Davis Cup because it is always a real honor to defend the colors of my Serbia.

His other goal is to compete in the 2024 Paris Olympics, which will be made possible with his participation in the Davis Cup. While the Serb has seen all there is in the World of tennis, the Olympic gold is something that keeps evading him. The Serb will aim to win a first gold medal in 2024.
