Novak Djokovic named the 2023 ITF World Champion after a dominating season, wins the title for a record 8th time

The 24-time Grand Slam title champion has yet again won another award as the 2023 season comes to an end. Novak Djokovic has been named the ITF (International Tennis Federation) World Champion for a record-breaking eighth time in his career.
The World No. 1 has had a splendid career on tour this season and has been breaking records on every path of his career. After winning a record-breaking 7th ATP Finals title, overtaking the Swiss legend Roger Federer, Nole has yet again broken another record, winning the ITF World Championship, cruising past the 7-time winner and former tennis legend, Steffi Graf.
The reigning US Open champion achieved new heights in his career this year, lifting a 24th singles Grand Slam title, more than any player in the history of the sport. The seven-time Wimbledon champion also won three out of the four Grand Slam finals that he played in. He has an exceptional win-loss record of 56-7 on the ATP Tour this year.
The 2023 Australian Open champion managed to stay at the top of the world rankings for the eighth time in his career. He has also been named the ITF World Champion a total of eight times in his career so far, owing to his dominating season this year.
The 22-time Grand Slam champion and former German tennis legend, Steffi Graf, holds the next-best record, having won the award seven times in her career.
Novak Djokovic shows no signs of slowing down as he prepares for the 2024 season
The Serbian legend has been looking in great shape, both physically and mentally, without showing any signs of fatigue. Having played one of his best seasons of his career, Nole is still hungry and passionate to come back on the court and win as many more titles as possible.
In an exclusive interview, when asked about what he has thought regarding his retirement, the World No. 1 said he will only consider it if the younger and newer generation can give him a tough chance at the tournaments he plays in.
The 2023 season was definitely one of the greatest he has had in his career so far. Having won three out of the four Grand Slam finals he played in, he also won the Paris Masters and the ATP Finals in Turin. It will be really interesting to see how much more the Serbian has in him as he gears up for another season next year.
