Novak Djokovic spoke his heart out after the title win in Paris. As the 36-year-old Serbian defeated Grigor Dimitrov in straight sets to claim his seventh ATP Paris Masters 1000 title, Djokovic talked about his ambitions. The 24-time Grand Slam winner has no shame in admitting that he is chasing glory even if people do not like him for that.

Djokovic talked about his aim to pip Jimmy Connors to win the most tour-level titles. The Serbian said that he not just want the record for most tour-level titles, he wants to go for all the possible records that he can break and he has no shame in admitting it. Djokovic also took a sly dig at others who pretend these things don’t matter to them.

I'm going for all possible records, all that I can break. I've never had a problem saying that. And that's why people don't like me. I didn't pretend like some people to say that it's not my goal, and then to behave differently after… I always tried to be in line with what I believe
Novak Djokovic talked about his ambition to win more titles.

Novak Djokovic needs 13 more tour-level titles to go past Jimmy Connors

There is no stopping Novak Djokovic and it’s being proved after every title he wins. Having 24 Grand Slam titles to his credit already, the Serbian has won 97 tour-level titles. He now needs 3 more titles to become a part of the 100 tour-level titles club and 13 more to become the player with the most ATP titles.

Currently, Jimmy Connors sits atop with 109 titles to his credit. Meanwhile, Roger Federer is second on the list with 103 tour-level titles. The Serbian is chasing the glory and is hungry to win those 13 titles. Djokovic admitted that he has that number in the back of his head.

As far as the record for the number of ATP tournaments won is concerned, everything is possible. Why shouldn't I try to break that record too? Now I have 12 less [than Connors] but I also have a few more years of successful tennis.
Novak Djokovic said about his aim to leave Jimmy Connors behind.

Notably, Novak Djokovic has 70 Big Titles (Grand Slam championships, trophies at the Nitto ATP Finals and ATP Masters 1000 tournaments, and Olympic singles gold medals) and wants to win more and more. The Serbian is already the men’s player with most number of Grand Slam titles and also with the most number of ATP Masters 1000 titles (40).
