Former tennis player turned commentator Chris Evert recently gave an update on her cancer, which has unfortunately returned. The American was first diagnosed with cancer a couple of years ago, and like the previous time, it was caught early, and early measures will be taken.

Novak Djokovic had sent a message of support to the 68-year-old. He sends a warm message on the internet in support of the former player. Evert, in turn, appreciated the kind gesture from the Serb and replied the same. Evert was previously diagnosed with ovarian cancer, which seemed to return.

Additionally, she encouraged people to check their family histories and get themselves checked early on so that the hazardous cells could not do further harm to the body.

Due to cancer treatment, Evert won’t be broadcasting the upcoming Australian Open for ESPN, but she assured her fans that she would be there for the other Grand Slams. After just recovering from chemotherapy in March, the 68-year-old was confident that the cancer wouldn’t return, but now that it was caught early, she is required to take early measures to prevent the cells from spreading.

68-year-old former tennis player Chris Evert was recently diagnosed with ovarian cancer yet again after having recovered from the same disease a while ago. Evert, who comes from a family of cancer patients, even lost her dear sister to the same.

Since then, she has gotten herself checked, stopped the cancer cells at an early stage, and advised everyone to do the same.

The American additionally spread awareness and recommended that people keep track of their own bodies, noticing even the minute changes. Knowing the challenges ahead of her, the 18-time Grand Slam champion is optimistic, knowing that chemotherapy will work again like it previously did.

With cancer being one of the most dangerous diseases, it becomes that much more important for one to know their body and identify these cells as early as possible. Luckily, Evert spotted the cells at an early stage and is on the road to recovery, all set to get back to her commentating ways.
