Djokovic, who is representing his country in the Davis Cup, decided to put his language skills to the test. He surprised everyone with his attempt to talk in Spanish. He initiated the discussion by asking the assembled journalists for the Spanish translation of the word ‘missing’. “How do you say ‘missing’ in Spanish?” he asked while speaking in Spanish. The reporters reacted with laughter and curiosity to this surprising request.

Djokovic arrived in Spain, just three days after defeating Daniil Medvedev in the final, to rejoin his Serbian Davis Cup squad for training ahead of the upcoming Davis Cup Finals.

He had already etched his name into the record books with his latest Grand Slam victory. He is planning to shift his emphasis to representing Serbia in the Davis Cup, in a magnificent demonstration of tenacity and dedication to his country’s tennis objectives.

Recognizing the difficulties he encounters owing to the compressed schedule, Djokovic emphasized the necessity of teamwork in the Davis Cup format. He added that selecting the correct lineup is critical, noting that they recently won 3-0. Djokovic emphasized the importance of each point, recalling how they almost missed qualifying last year owing to a single set of points. He highlighted his eagerness to contribute, even if it was only a single point in singles, and expressed his excitement for the tournament.
