Novak Djokovic had to face heavy booing during his third-round match at the ongoing Paris Masters, against Tallon Griekspoor. The Serbian also reacted to it- by gesturing to the crowd to further increase the intensity. While Djokovic won the match, his exchanges with the crowd led Former French Pro Camille Pin to claim that the Serbian’s ‘Old demons’ were seen during the game.

Pin said that Djokovic’s old demons were largely seen in the first set which the 36-year-old lost 4-6. She then went on to claim that a blackout happened and the Serbian was back on track.

We saw, I think, the old demons of Novak Djokovic, who was largely leading in the first round, and we said to ourselves: 'Okay, it's going to be a little health journey', and all of a sudden, there has a blackout as may have happened to him in the past...But Novak was very strong, especially in the tie‐break, while Griekspoor conceded five points in a row so that didn't really help him. It was a very special match.

Novak Djokovic stands tall against all odds, yet again!

It was a tough night for Novak Djokovic who had to play against not just one opponent but three. As has been the case with the Serbian, the crowd inside the stadium was not too hospitable for Djokovic who was booed throughout the game. But the 36-year-old did not let them get into his head as Djokovic went on to win the match despite trailing behind.

Djokovic’s second major challenge was a stomach issue that had been troubling the Serbian for the past two days leading into the match. Djokovic revealed that he ran out of steam after a good start and this led to him losing crucial match points. Nevertheless, the 24-time Grand Slam winner recollected himself and sailed through.

Tallon Griekspoor playing some really good tennis became troublesome for Djokovic. The Dutch rarely allowed Djokovic to win an easy point, be it on serve or ace. After claiming the first set 4-6, Griekspoor forced the second set into a tiebreaker. However, fortunately for Djokovic, Griekspoor lost control and conceded five points on the trot. This meant the Serbian claimed the tiebreaker 7-2 and leveled 1-1. In the decider, Djokovic was his usual self, thrashing his opponent 6-4.
