It is nothing new for the fanbases of two of the most fierce rivals at the helm of men’s tennis to go up against one another in ways of protecting their idol. With many incidents in the past, it has now become routine for the tennis industry to come across such events that are related to Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal.
The fans are always trying to pick up actions from the past and undermine their counterpart fanbases. This time, the Nadal fanbase has targeted Djokovic on the fact that his behavior with the ball boys of the matches is not up to par.
An old video has been uploaded by a Nadal fan where Nole was seen snatching a towel from the hands of the ball boy.
While he was taking the towel, he even shouted out of rage, having picked up a point just a few seconds earlier. It was an action by the fans that kept him booing and spreading hate over him the entire time.
As a reply to the video, one of Djokovic’s fans also pulled out a video of him holding the umbrella for a ball boy while it was raining in the stadium, and he went on to offer him a drink as well.
How did the Djokovic fans react to the hate spread by Nadal fans
Novak Djokovic fans are always standing by their idol, be it against the hate spread by the tennis netizens on social media or the boos received by the Serbian in a stadium.
After the video was released on Twitter, Nole’s fans bashed the entire fanbase of Nadal, speaking of their unjust policies of ruining the image of a nice man.
Sharing a wide spectrum of reactions online, here’s what fans have to say:
Djokovic’s fans have hinted at taking a close look at the rage of their idol, as he stated that he shouted at his team and not the ball boy. Nole’s fans even went a step ahead to bash Nadal’s supporters, saying that he would need the help of glasses to see who Djokovic was reacting to, with his focus on the crowd clearly visible in the video.
