Ons Jabeur recently in an interview expressed her investment in a soccer team named North Carolina Courage(NCC), which is a part of the National Women’s Soccer League. This soccer team is owned by former American World No.1, Naomi Osaka.

Speaking about her investment in this team Ons said that she encourages women’s sports and wants them to see great heights in the future. She further added, ” I love supporting women’s sports and believe women’s sports deserve better. I’m a huge soccer fan, so for me, to invest in this great team.”

Ons Jabeur also stated that the team won the NSWL Challenge Cup this month and hoped that the team would continue to perform well in the future. The Tunisian added, “They just won a title lately. So a great team and I wish them the best of luck for the future.”

On being asked if she would be on the pitch playing soccer, Ons Jabeur replied saying, ” They’re amazing players and if I think if I can last 5 minutes with them will be great.” Before Ons Jabeur, Naomi Osaka also invested in this team in 2021.

Ons Jabeur advances to the 3rd round of the Guadalajara Open

Ons Jabeur will now face Martina Trevisan in the 3rd round of the Guadalajara Open. After receiving a walk-over in her first round, she defeated Alycia Parks in straight sets to start off her campaign in this Tournament. Ons will be looking to make a powerful comeback after her disappointing round of 16 loss against Qinwen Zheng in the US Open.

Jabeur is looking confident and is on the right path to enter the WTA finals and a good performance at this Open will only strengthen her position. She would like to forget her shocking US Open loss and will look forward to ending the year on a high.
