Last year, Ons Jabeur made waves in the tennis world when she finished as the runner-up at the Charleston, S.C. Despite her impressive performance, Jabeur did not get a chance to stop by the Tennis Channel desk. However, on Thursday, after defeating Caroline Dolehide, Jabeur finally reunited with Steve Weissman, the host at the Tennis Channel Desk, and her playful banter and infectious personality shone through in the live interview.

Jabeur started the conversation with a joke, saying, “My season starts in Charleston,” when asked about her tough start to the year. She then went on to describe her experience at Mt. Pleasant’s Pitt St. Bridge with Belinda Bencic, the woman who denied Jabeur the trophy a year ago at the same tournament.

Weissman then asked Jabeur about her passion for perfumes, and Jabeur shared that she initially traveled with a pair of fragrances but has since seen the number grow to carrying 10 options. She even admitted to texting her husband to come pick her up at the airport so she can buy all the perfumes there. Jabeur’s winning scent of the day was Gucci, and she playfully declared that she is a “crazy perfume person” and is open to sponsoring opportunities from Gucci.

“I’m really a crazy perfume person. Gucci if you’re here listening, I’m here for sponsoring, said Jabeur.
