American ace Jessica Pegula, unlike many of her competitors and rivals, isn’t only associated with her own sport. Jessica, a billionaire baby, is the daughter of Terry and Kim Pegula, who are owners of two professional franchise teams in both football and hockey.

They own the Buffalo Bills in the National Football League and the Buffalo Sabres in the National Hockey League. For that very reason, Jessica is quite associated with Football and hockey, along with her own tennis.

Her association with the other sports often makes her answer questions related to them. As she prepares to challenge for this year’s National Bank Open in Montreal, she was asked about the Baffalo Sabres’ chances of making the playoffs in her pre-tournament press conference. She excitedly exclaimed, “I hope so. Please, I hope so. I thought we were going to make it last year. We were doing okay, and then we lost ten games in a row. I was, like, well, there it goes.”

She further continued, “No, I think we had a good young team last year. They were really — they’ve been very fun to watch I would say the last few years. A very young team. I hope, yeah, next year we can bring it all together. It would be exciting.”

She honestly also pointed out the fact that she thought the Sabres were deserving last year as well, but they lost 10 matches in a row, which dented their chances. Jessica is confident about her team’s chances this time around, though.

Jessica Pegula, after being asked about the Sabres for the Stanley Cup, was next asked about the Buffalo Bills from the Super Bowl. Her reply was not very different from the previous one, but it had added motivation and a dream result lurking all over it. Jessica decided to reply cheekily, and so she did by saying, “I hope the Sabres win the Stanley Cup, the Bills win a Super Bowl, and I win a slam.

Everybody always asks me those questions. Yes, all three Let’s do it.” She laughed as she said this, and so did the audience during the press conference. The results of the Sabres and Bills aren’t really in the hands of Jessica, but her own results are. She wants to win a Slam soon, and she has been playing really well in recent times. Being the fourth behind Iga Swiatek, Aryna Sabalenka, and Elena Rybakina, she will look to push forward and break into that trio, or at least make herself a part of it.
