Many athletes and people around the world help the ones in need in their way. In tennis, the Umpires, players, and even the mothers of athletes help out the world in their own way. Every year, the organization holds an award ceremony hailing these women who give back to the world.

WTA presents the prestigious Georgina Clark Mother Award for the woman who has made a significant contribution to the culture and emotional life of the WTA family. The award also honors the person who has worked above and beyond to help those in need.

This year, this prestigious award goes to the one and only Pam Shriver for her amazing contribution to women’s tennis and beyond. The former tennis player turned commentator has not only won multiple awards for the sport but is working equally hard with her new mode of life.

As a commentator as well, she has been running the grounds, interviewing players, and delivering the correct news to the audience. Most importantly, she has been there to entertain the crowd as well as the players. A perfect contender for the Mother Award for her constant effort to keep the fans entertained.

Other than the award, the 61-year-old also received a bracelet from the Chris Evert collection for her amazing contribution to the WTA and the beyond. Over the many years, Shriver has been successful in maintaining a positive impact in the outside world.

The 61-year-old has a foundation, ‘Pam Shriver Tennis Clinic’, which provides opportunities for underprivileged children to learn and play tennis. Furthermore, she also leverages her platform to work with other charities to help the underprivileged while also being there for the WTA athletes. This made her a straight-forward nominee for the title, and rightly so won it.

Even after retirement, Shriver continues to be involved in the tennis world. Not as a player, but as a commentator and a sports analyst. Hopefully, she continues her good work both in the sport and outside.
