Alexander Zverev needed three sets to defeat Marton Fucsovics in the first round of the Paris Masters and then faced Ugo Humbert in the second round. The German player had to dig deep to reach the third round of the Paris Masters, defeating Ugo Humbert 6-4, 6-7 (3), and 7-6 (5) in a thrilling encounter.

Zverev won the first set by winning the last three games after Humbert had served for the set. Humbert fought back to level the match in the second set, winning the tiebreak. The World No. 9 trailed 4-2 in the third set but came back to win the set in a tiebreak.

Alexander Zverev has had to play three sets in both of his matches at the Paris Masters so far. In his last match, he hit 33 winners against Ugo Humbert and won 70% of his first serve points.

Stefanos Tsitsipas, on the other hand, hit 25 winners even though he played one fewer set than Zverev. Both players have weaknesses that they need to manage when under pressure. Zverev needs to keep his serve under control, while Tsitsipas’ backhand has been a source of trouble for him. So far, both players have been able to hide their weaknesses well.

This could be a close match, but given Tsitsipas’ record against Zverev, he will be the favorite to win.

Match Prediction: Stefanos Tsitsipas to win in three sets.
