As the entire World celebrates the triumph of a young Coco Gauff at the Flushing Meadows to claim her first US Open title, Patrick McEnroe, the younger brother of tennis legend John McEnroe joined the celebration with a glass of wine. He posted a video of him enjoying a glass of wine to commemorate Coco’s victory over Aryna Sabalenka in the finals of the US Open 2023.
In the video, Patrick congratulated Gauff and her family on her achievement mentioning, “Just a small glass of wine to celebrate Coco Gauff’s win.” He also adds an extra compliment to her coach, whom he knows very well and is very close with, saying, “Super proud of my guy BG( Brad Gilbert). I know he has wanted to get back into coaching and he’s shown everybody what he’s still got.”
Adding to his statement he also mentions that Coco is an amazing person off and on court as well and is extremely happy for her and her family. Towards the end of the video, Patrick McEnroe adds, ” I just want to remind my peeps out there, I know you like to give me a hard time when I am wrong about my predictions which is often, but this time I happen to be right.”
On predicting Gauff as the winner from the start of the US Open and predicting the score and outcome of the finals he stated,” By the way didn’t I say earlier it was going to be like 6-2 or 6-3 in the 3rd for Coco, cheers.” He implied that his prediction of picking Coco as the winner since the beginning of the Tournament was right and he was delighted about it coming true.
The entire tennis world is absolutely delighted with Coco Gauff’s victory in the US Open. She is getting praise and applause from former players, celebrities and others. She has proved all haters wrong and silenced those who questioned her greatness by becoming the first American teenager to win the US Open since Serena Williams in 1999.

Coco Gauff triumphed over Aryna Sabalenka to win the US Open 2023 aged 19. The only other teenager to win this Slam is Serena Williams who achieved the feat in the year 1999, when she was 17 years old. Her calm and composed nature throughout the start of the match gave indications of her bright future ahead of her tennis career.
Post the win she also declared herself as the future of American tennis. She has earned the right to make this statement and is living proof of what hard work, passion and extreme dedication can make possible. This is her first major title of her career and surely there will be many more. She will go on to be the next dominating female Champion in tennis without a doubt.
