World No. 1 Emma Raducanu has been the talk of the town lately for many reasons. She has missed out on action in the last eight months due to injuries piling up on her. Having lastly played way back in April, the Brit is trying hard to make it back to the court as soon as possible. She has in the past and currently been bashed by a lot of pundits for her ways of changing coaches from time to time.

A few days ago French coach Patrick Mouratoglou had talked about the negativity of having a lot of coaches and advised the Brit of changing her ways. Now again, Mouratoglou has illustrated further how much of an impact the changes of coaches have left on the career of the youngster. Mouratoglou feels that every single coach has their style of play and based on this Raducanu will have to follow the project created by the different coaches.

The Frenchman feels that the lack of a single project and goal is affecting Raducanu. He said:

I think that the constant changing of her team is affecting her game for sure. In this sport - in any sport and whatever you do in life - it is very important to have a goal and have milestones and a project for you. And when you change coach, you change the project and it is impossible to reach the top when you change coaches too often.

Patrick Mouratoglou’s advice for Emma Raducanu:

Patrick Mouratoglou has stated her advice for the longevity of Emma Raducanu. He feels that the Brit needs to focus more on her fitness and try to stay out of injuries as much as possible. He said:

I hope for her that firstly she is injury-free and second, she finds someone that she trusts and she is able to stay with that person long enough so that they can work on a development plan for her to become great again because it was too short the period she played her best tennis.

Patrick also feels that it’s high time Raducanu needs to find a coach that she can absolutely rely on and go the distance. Because only then she along with her coaching team would be able to focus on a joint long-term project that would in turn get her results.

The Frenchman also concluded by saying that Raducanu is not at all among the consistent list of players and it was long ago that she played a good brand of tennis.
