Emerging Spanish tennis talent Carlos Alcaraz caught the attention of the former coach of tennis icon Serena Williams. After Alcaraz’s impressive performances on clay, Patrick Mouratoglou believes that the young player’s talents are not limited to that particular court type. As per Mouratoglou’s opinion, Alcaraz is a versatile player and equally skilled on both clay and hard courts.
Patrick Mouratoglou highlighted the fact that Rafael Nadal is known for his expertise on clay courts, but has also adapted his game to other surfaces. In contrast, he sees Alcaraz as an all-court player with a specific advantage on clay due to his unique attributes.
“I think Carlos Alcaraz is an all-court player, I don’t think he is a clay-court player, Rafa is more of a clay court player. He’s an all-court player, but he has learned to be good on other surfaces, but originally, he was really a clay court player, which is not the case for Carlos.” Mouratoglou said.
The coach shared his thoughts on social media, where he lauded Alcaraz’s abilities and predicted a bright future for the young tennis star. Many fans of the sport are eagerly following Alcaraz’s progress and are curious to see how he will continue to develop his game on different court surfaces.
