Tennis lovebirds Paula Badosa and Stefanos Tsitsipas have been going strong with their newly found relationship. Both players have really helped one another in terms of practice sessions, recovering from setbacks and injuries, and so on. Paula Badosa has now talked about how much of a blessing the Greek has been in her life for the last couple of months.
Adjudged by many as the power couple of the sport, Paula Badosa mentioned this during her Q&A session on Instagram. She said, “Can’t choose one. We have so much fun together, feels like having a best friend by my side. We understand each other and we are always there for each other. We are a strong team together. It’s a blessing.”
Both Stefanos Tsitsipas and Badosa had their work cut out in the recently played Wimbledon Championships. Both of them were knocked out of the tournament in disappointing fashion. While Tsitsipas was shown the exit door by American Christopher Eubanks, Paula had to retire midway through her second-round matchup against Marta Kostyuk.
Will things get into the right place for Stefanos Tsitsipas and Paula Badosa?
Paula Badosa had been through a rough patch for most of the year and having been out of action for a long time, everyone expected the Spaniard to get her things in place at the Wimbledon Championship. She was last in action at the Italian Open back in May, making it to the quarterfinals.
Badosa wasn’t at her full fitness and it was conspicuous after she was knocked out of the tournament in just the second round. On the other hand, Tsitsipas has also been under severe pressure for underperforming in the last couple of months, with his fans going restless.
He has not quite made it to the later stages of the majority of the tournament, and after a shock loss against a depleted opponent, Eubanks, fans have been bashing the Greek regarding his personal life. Many feel that he has not been paying adequate heed in the training sessions and that both of the lovebirds are spoiling each other’s careers.
