Spanish Tennis Player and World No.48, Paula Badosa has been in the limelight recently being the girlfriend of Greek tennis ace Stefanos Tsitsipas. The couple have been dating since May 2023 and officially announced this during this year’s Wimbledon.

In a recent interview to SDNA Newsroom, Badosa expressed her desire to win a Grand Slam title alongside Greek tennis phenom Stefanos Tsitsipas. She said, “My dream is that Stefanos Tsitsipas and I become champions in the same Grand Slam.” Little did she know that fans and the social media world would be so critical of this very light and pleasant comment made by the tennis player.

Both of them have never won a Grand Slam yet. While Paula Badosa has never reached further than the quarter-finals round of the French Open in 2021, Stefanos Tsitsipas has reached the Grand Slam finals of 2 Majors, the Australian Open and the French Open, just to lose to Novak Djokovic both the times.

The Spanish player’s comment was met with some severe backlash and humorous replies. Few fans even asked her to break up with Stefanos in order for her dream of both of them winning a Grand Slam title in the same Major to be fulfilled.
